Arc. Mobolaji Adeyeye Commends Peaceful, Orderly Ayede South/Itapa Ward APC Delegate Election

Arc. Mobolaji Johnson Adeyeye, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Senior Special Assistant to the Ekiti State Governor on Physical Planning, has hailed the conduct of the delegate election held at Ayede South/Itapa Ward, Oye Local Government, describing it as “a reflection of the good governance ethos” established under Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s administration.

The exercise, which took place ahead of the APC primary election scheduled for tomorrow, October 27, 2025, was marked by what observers called a rare display of orderliness and unity among party members.

Adeyeye, who witnessed the process first-hand, expressed satisfaction with the seamless coordination that characterised the ward delegate selection. He said the calm, transparent exercise was “not far-fetched from the peace and stability Governor Oyebanji has sustained across the state in the last three years.”

“I’m impressed by how disciplined and united our people were,” he said after the exercise. “This kind of maturity and cooperation is exactly what the APC stands for. It reflects the leadership quality we have at the state level.”

The APC stalwart congratulated all delegates elected in Ayede South/Itapa Ward, Oye Local Government, and Ekiti North Constituency 1, extending his felicitation to others across the state. He also wished the party a peaceful and successful primary as it prepares to formally elect Governor Biodun Oyebanji as its consesus gubernatorial flag bearer ahead of the 2026 Ekiti Governorship Election, slated for July 20, 2026.

Party members present at the exercise described the atmosphere as “mature and disciplined,” noting that the accreditation process was smooth, with minimal disruptions or disputes.

A newly elected delegate, who preferred anonymity, told GistNaijaHub that the level of orderliness was a “positive shift” from the usual tense ward congress scenes.

“There was no shouting match or power tussle,” he said. “People queued, cast their votes, and congratulated one another. It felt like a new era for grassroots politics in Ekiti.”

Adeyeye’s commendation, political observers say, underscores the APC’s internal coherence in Ekiti ahead of the primaries. His remarks also echo the broader narrative of “continuity and stability” that Governor Oyebanji’s supporters have amplified in recent months.

With the delegate elections concluded, attention now shifts to tomorrow’s primary, where Oyebanji is widely expected to emerge unopposed as the APC’s standard bearer.
