Veteran journalist and media manager Dayo Badmus has accused Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin of being manipulative, deceptive and obsessed with controlling public narratives. In a bombshell statement released to the public, Badmus says he worked closely with Lizzy Anjorin for nearly a decade and witnessed firsthand a side of her the public has never seen.
Dayo Badmus, who once served as her publicist, manager, personal assistant and even her driver, says their long-term relationship gave him unfettered access to her private life. He describes her as one of the most industrious women he has ever known, but also one of the most cunning, capable of spinning a single event into multiple versions to suit her agenda.
“I lived in her space, handled her interviews, cleaned up her mess, stood in as family and protected her brand,” he wrote. “But I also saw her lies, her schemes and her endless manipulation of the truth.”
He says his silence was intentional until now because of peace and loyalty to their long-time friendship circle, Imule-Ore. But after years of watching from the sidelines, and with his own name now allegedly being dragged into her drama, he is finally speaking up. “My reputation is involved. I cannot keep quiet any longer,” he states.
The former soft-sell magazine journalist recalls how their professional relationship began in 2008 after he interviewed her following allegations that she had stolen a car. Unlike other journalists, Dayo Badmus says he reached out to her directly, met her on a movie set and gave her the chance to defend herself. That effort earned her trust and launched a years-long working relationship that, according to him, eventually became toxic and unsustainable.
He claims he managed her entire media presence, from interviews to public perception, and became a permanent fixture in her personal life. He paints her as someone driven by money and visibility, willing to lose sleep and cross boundaries to get both. But behind that relentless work ethic, he alleges, is a woman who thrives on twisting reality and playing the victim.
Dayo Badmus promises to reveal even more disturbing details in the coming days, including her marriage to Mr Lawal, her feud with Iyabo Ojo, alleged ties to mysterious figures like Arike and Rotimi, and the speculation that she has no known living family. “Some say Liz is an Akudaya, a wandering spirit with no traceable origin. I will talk about her father, mother and everyone I know who is or was related to her,” he added.
He warns anyone trying to mediate or ask for a truce to stay clear, threatening to invoke spiritual consequences. “I’m ordering fresh Epe Ijebu. Anyone who calls me about Liz will have a share of the curses.”
The former media aide makes it clear that no part of Lizzy Anjorin’s life will be off limits and that what is coming next will unsettle fans and foes alike. His closing line reads like a warning shot: Watch out as the event unveils.
