Egbe Omo Usi Executives Pay Courtesy Visit to Hon. Oyeniyi Adebayo, Chief of Staff to Ekiti State Governor

It was a moment of pride and unity as the Executives of Egbe Omo Usi (EOU), led by National President, Mrs. Funmilayo Aina, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the Ekiti State Governor, Hon. Oyeniyi Adebayo, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Ekiti State Government Office, Ado-Ekiti. The delegation included esteemed members such as 2024 Miss Usi, Miss Alao Helen, among others.

Speaking on the visit, Mr. Familusi Tolorunju, Public Relations Officer (P.R.O) of Egbe Omo Usi Worldwide, described the meeting as a significant step toward strengthening community ties and fostering collaboration for the progress of Ekiti State and Usi Oro in particular.

“The meeting was an opportunity to congratulate Hon. Adebayo on his appointment and also discuss strategic initiatives that can drive development. We are committed to working with relevant stakeholders to ensure our hometown, Usi Oro, continues to thrive,” Tolorunju stated.

As a mark of goodwill, the EOU executives offered prayers for divine wisdom and good health for the Chief of Staff, wishing him success in his new role.

In a related development, the delegation also held discussions with Amb. Wale Ojo-Lanre, the Director General of Tourism in Ekiti State, on positioning Usi Oro as a key tourist destination.

According to Mr. Familusi Tolorunju, the discussion centered on identifying potential tourist attractions in Usi and planning for the much-anticipated Usi Day celebration.

“This engagement with the DG of Tourism is a proactive step toward making Usi a recognized cultural and tourist hub. We believe that with the right investment and support, Usi Oro can become a significant landmark in Ekiti’s tourism industry,” Tolorunju added.

The EOU leadership is urging Usi sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora, to actively support community-driven initiatives that promote the town’s rich legacy and attract investments.

“We encourage all Usi indigenes to be part of this journey. The future of our community depends on our collective efforts,” Tolorunju emphasized.

Through strategic partnerships and sustained efforts, Egbe Omo Usi remains committed to making Usi Oro a hub of culture, tourism, and progress in Ekiti State.
