Ekiti-born education innovator, Ayodele Oluwaseun Adesola, popularly known as Seun Possible, will be inducted as a Distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Teaching Specialists (CITS-USA) on 25 April 2026 in Ibadan, Oyo State. The institute will also confer on him an Honorary Doctorate in Teaching and Learning Development during the ceremony at its Nigeria head office.
The recognition marks another milestone for the educator whose teaching innovations continue to attract attention within Nigeria’s academic community. Mr Ayodele rose to national prominence after inventing PEPSTUG in 2020, a learning aid designed to help students master spelling, phonetic transcription and the pronunciation of English words.
The innovation gained wider recognition in 2021 when the former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi, honoured him as the state’s Outstanding Youth of the Year in Invention. The award acknowledged the growing impact of PEPSTUG in strengthening students’ performance in English language examinations across schools in Ekiti State.
Mr Ayodele later expanded his academic pursuits. In 2024, he completed a certificate programme in Technology Entrepreneurship, Lab to Market, at Harvard University, deepening his interest in turning educational ideas into scalable solutions.
His work also gained international attention in 2025 when he was inducted into the Global Scholars’ Hall of Fame under the La Plage Metaverse initiative, a platform that recognises scholars shaping the future of education technology and learning development. The same year, leaders in his hometown honoured him with an Educational Innovation Award for his contributions to teaching and youth development.
Students across Ekiti often describe Mr Ayodele’s teaching style as lively and engaging. He blends songs, mnemonics, clues and educational games into lessons, a method that has helped thousands of certificate examination candidates prepare for major academic tests through his annual academic preparation programmes.
Mr Ayodele founded PEPSTUG International Consult, an educational initiative focused on learning development and academic support. He has also authored several educational books and continues to promote the PEPSTUG learning framework to improve students’ competence in spelling, phonetics and spoken English.
