The training held at Olufaki Palace Hall and was organised to equip youths with practical, income generating skills that can translate into small scale businesses and financial independence.

Speaking at the event, Ido Osi Coordinator of the movement, Comrade Ebenezer Akinola Omoboye, welcomed participants and explained the mission of New Broom Movement. He described the programme as the first phase of a broader empowerment plan, noting that selected participants would later be sponsored for advanced vocational training in skills such as Adire making, cake and pastry production, barbing and other trades.

The event drew key party and movement leaders, including the State Coordinator, Mr Ifeoluwa Alabi, Hon Busuyi Awoseemo, APC Chairman Ifaki Ward 1, Hon Sule Rasaki Orimileke of Ifaki Ward 2, Mr Taiwo Omoboriowo, New Broom Movement Irepodun Ifelodun Coordinator, Mr Akin Fasakin, Ido Osi Working Committee Chairman, and Mr Ayodeji Ibitola, Working Committee Secretary.

Mr. Ifeoluwa Alabi reaffirmed that New Broom Movement operates under the APC structure in Ekiti State and is committed to supporting the development agenda of Governor Biodun Oyebanji. He urged participants to take the training seriously and apply the skills to create economic value, stressing that the empowerment programme would extend beyond the current phase.

APC chairmen from the host community praised the initiative, describing it as a thoughtful shift from short term handouts to sustainable empowerment that builds long term economic capacity among constituents.

Practical sessions were led by Lady Comrade Kemisola Omoju, the training instructor, who guided participants through hair cream and air freshener production, moderated by Comrade Victor Odukoya. The programme also featured refreshments and recharge cards..

Participants expressed satisfaction with the training, describing it as impactful and relevant. Many pledged to promote the movement within their communities, while some indicated interest in joining both the New Broom Movement and the APC.

The leadership of the movement said the positive response affirmed its goal of building economically independent constituents rather than a population reliant on political handouts.

After the training, the New Broom Movement leadership paid a courtesy visit to the Kabiyesi, who offered words of encouragement, pledged his support and prayed for the success of the movement and its leadership.
