Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has urged Nigerians to hold fast to peace, hope, and faith in governance as the country marks its 65th Independence anniversary and Ekiti State celebrates 29 years of creation.

In a statement on Wednesday, the APC chieftain praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform-driven leadership, insisting that his policies are laying the groundwork for long-term prosperity despite the immediate sacrifices confronting citizens.

“Mr President is making bold moves to stabilise the economy, expand infrastructure, strengthen security, and uplift the poor through social investment,” Akinlayo said. “These sacrifices will not be in vain; they will birth a brighter tomorrow.”

Turning his attention to Ekiti, Akinlayo saluted Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s stewardship and commended citizens for rallying behind his government. He described continuity in governance as critical to sustaining progress and called on residents to back the governor’s re-election bid.

“Ekiti has made gains under Governor Oyebanji, and I sincerely urge our people to consolidate this by granting him another mandate,” Akinlayo noted.

The APC chieftain, who described Nigeria’s 65-year journey as one of resilience and endurance, concluded with a call for unity and optimism. He prayed for lasting peace and greater prosperity for Nigeria and Ekiti State.
