Hon. Kolawole Davidson Akinlayo has called for unity and peaceful coexistence across Ekiti State as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, urging residents to sustain the values of Ramadan beyond the festive period.

In a statement released to mark the end of the holy month, the lawmaker congratulated Muslim faithful in Ekiti and across the world, praising their discipline and commitment throughout the fasting season.

Akinlayo described Eid-el-Fitr as a defining moment of reflection, shaped by sacrifice, devotion, and spiritual renewal, and urged citizens to carry forward the lessons learnt.

He stressed that virtues such as patience, generosity, compassion, and unity must reflect in daily interactions, noting that social progress depends on how well individuals uphold these values after Ramadan.

The lawmaker also broadened his message to the national level, urging Nigerians to embrace mutual respect and collective responsibility in building stable communities.

He said lasting development would require consistent support for one another, calling on citizens to contribute actively to the growth of their communities.

Akinlayo ended with prayers for peace and fulfilment, expressing hope that the season would bring lasting joy to families across the state and beyond.
