Otunba Oluwadare Owolabi has called for unity and inclusive development across Ekiti State as Muslims mark Eid-el-Fitr, urging residents to turn the spirit of Ramadan into lasting social progress.

In a message released on Friday, Owolabi congratulated Muslim faithful in Ekiti and beyond on the successful completion of Ramadan, describing the festival as a moment that reflects discipline, sacrifice, and deep spiritual commitment.

He praised the endurance shown during the fasting period, noting that the values practised, restraint, generosity, and devotion, should not end with the celebration.

Owolabi pushed the conversation beyond religious observance, urging citizens, especially in Ekiti North, to see the season as a call to collective responsibility. He said real progress in the state would depend on unity of purpose and a shared commitment to development.

He stressed that inclusive growth remains the only path to a stable and prosperous Ekiti, adding that every citizen must feel seen, heard, and empowered within the system.

“Development is not a promise on paper. It is a responsibility we must all carry,” he said, pointing to the need for cooperation across communities.

Owolabi ended with prayers for peace and continued blessings, asking that the sacrifices made during Ramadan bring lasting rewards to the faithful.

“Barka da Sallah,” he added.
