Venite University Management Visits Ado Centres, Seals Value Ingredients Food Partnership

The management of Venite University on Thursday carried out a working visit to its operational centres in Ado-Ekiti, inspecting facilities and advancing a new partnership with Value Ingredients Ltd to supply subsidised food items to students and staff.

The visit marked one of the first field engagements by the university’s newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Charity O. Aremu, who led the delegation alongside the Registrar, Ezekiel A. Agbaje, and Governing Council member Dapo Kolawole.

The team began the inspection at the university’s diploma study centre located on Bank Road beside Bovas Filling Station in Ado-Ekiti. The facility supports diploma programmes and currently accommodates more than 300 students. During the tour, Professor Aremu commended the learning environment and the standard of infrastructure provided for students.

The management also visited the university’s hostel and study centre for medical students along NTA Road in Ado-Ekiti. The renovation project, expected to be completed within five months, will provide accommodation for students undergoing internship and improve access to nearby health institutions for clinical training.

As part of the visit, the Vice-Chancellor inspected the institution’s Enterprise Centre located inside Textile, Basiri, Ado-Ekiti. The centre serves as a hub for the university’s entrepreneurship development programme, where students receive practical training designed to support business creation and innovation.

University officials said the assessment would guide further improvements aimed at strengthening enterprise education and practical learning opportunities for students.

In a related development, the institution confirmed a partnership with Value Ingredients Ltd to establish a supply chain for staple food items within the university community. Under the arrangement, products such as garri, semo vita and other essential food items will be made available at subsidised rates to reduce living costs for students and staff.

The Director of Works, Adeyinka Adebayo, who received the management team during the inspection, expressed appreciation for the visit and prayed for continued progress for the institution.

Other staff members present included Kunle Adeogun, Aribatise Yetunde, Kolawole Adenike, Ajibola Oluwaseyi, and Taiwo Oso, among others.
