Venite University Opens Application for Vice Chancellor Position
Venite University, Iloro-Ekiti, has announced the commencement of applications for the position of Vice Chancellor, setting in motion the process to appoint a new academic leader who will shape the future of one of Nigeria’s youngest private universities.
The institution, licensed by the Federal Government in May 2023, has quickly gained attention for its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and character-driven education. The announcement, made by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Dr Ezekiel A. Agbaje, signals a new chapter for the fast-growing university as it seeks a visionary scholar to drive its mission of producing creative and self-reliant graduates.
According to the statement released by the university, interested candidates must hold a PhD from a recognised institution, possess at least 15 years of post-doctoral experience, and have served a minimum of five years as a Professor. They must also demonstrate exceptional leadership, research distinction, administrative competence, and strong understanding of ICT and entrepreneurial innovation.
Applicants must be under 65 years of age at the time of assumption of office and exhibit integrity, discipline, and accountability, values at the core of Venite’s identity. The appointment, the statement adds, will be for a single five-year term, with remuneration and benefits in line with top private universities in Nigeria.
Candidates are expected to submit ten (10) copies each of their application letter, curriculum vitae, credentials, and a 2,000-word vision statement, along with three confidential referee reports addressed to the Registrar, Venite University, Km 2 Ayetoro Road, Iloro-Ekiti, Ekiti State. A soft copy should also be sent via email to registrar@veniteuniversity.edu.ng.
The application deadline is 30th November, 2025, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
